Email Client Settings

After creating an email account in your Rochen cPanel using the "Email Accounts" tool, you may configure your POP3 or IMAP email client using the following settings to connect to your email accounts at Rochen. Replace "" with your actual domain name which resolves to your Rochen account, and replace the username with your new email address:

Password: Your Password

If using POP3, your email client will normally check for new messages once every 5 minutes. That setting should not be increased, especially if you have mutliple email clients checking that same account. On a shared Business or Reseller Plan the maximum permitted checking frequency per account, per IP, is 60 times per hour. Frequencies greater than that may trigger a firewall block for your IP.

Important: You must enable the option that says: 'my outgoing server requires authentication' (or similar) in your email client SMTP settings, and use the same username/password as above. You will need to enable SSL (port 465) or TLS encryption (ports 25, 587 or 1025) as well. If you do not have an SSL certificate installed for using mail SNI via Let's Encrypt (only available on Premium Web Hosting plans) then you will also need to change the SMTP server address to match your server's hostname, or manually accept the server's SSL certificate in your email client.

If you are having trouble sending email your ISP may be blocking port 25. If that is the case, try using port 1025 for SMTP instead of 25 to get around that block. Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are now blocking access to port 25 for outgoing SMTP. You can read more about this here.
